Panama defeats Trinidad and Tobago into Gold Cup semifinals

Panama defeated Trinidad and Tobago 6-5 on penalty shoot and qualified for CONCACAF (Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Football Association) Gold Cup semifinals on Sunday.

Panama will face the winner between Mexico and Costa Rica to be played later.

Panama scored first in 36th minute with a goal by Luis Tejeda, while Triniad and Tobago tied in 54th minute with a goal from Kenwyne Jones.

Panama dominated the match in extra time, but they could not score and the match had to be decided by penalty kick.

Gabriel Torres, Abdiel Arroyo, Armando Cooper, Harold Cummings, Blas Perez and Valentin Pimentel scored in penalty shootout, while Roman Torres, Erick Davis and Alberto Quintero failed to convert the spot kick.

The goals of Trinidad and Tobago were from Ataulla Guerra, Mekeil Williams, Kenwyne Jones, Randanfah Bakr and Andre Boucaud. Endi
