Ajax sign Sanogo and Younes

Xinhua, July 18, 2015 Adjust font size:

Ajax have attracted Yaya Sanogo on loan from Arsenal and Amin Younes from Borussia Monchengladbach, the Amsterdam based team announced on Friday.

The loan deal with Sanogo is effective for one season, until mid-2016. The 22-year-old French striker, who moved to London from AJ Auxerre in 2013, has a contract until 2017 at Arsenal.

The last half year Sanogo played on loan for Crystal Palace in the Premier League. In 11 PL matches for Arsenal and 10 for Crystal Palace he didn't score.

Ajax also reached an agreement with 21-year-old German winger Amin Younes on a contract for three seasons, until 2018, with an option for one additional season included.

The German youth international had been under contract until 2016 with Borussia Monchengladbach. Last season he was loaned out to FC Kaiserslautern, for which he scored two times in 14 matches in the Second Bundesliga.

Earlier this summer Ajax already signed defender John Heitinga from German Hertha BSC, midfielder Nemanja Gudelj from AZ and leftback Mitchell Dijks from Willem II. Endi
