China stocks surge over 3 pct

Chinese shares surged more than 3 percent on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 3.51 percent to close at 3,957.35 points.

The smaller Shenzhen Component Index soared 5.24 percent to close at 13,004.96 points.

The ChiNext Index, tracking China's Nasdaq-style board of growth enterprises, climbed 5.95 percent to end at 2,783.32 points. Endi
