Singapore welcomes Iran nuclear agreement

Xinhua, July 15, 2015 Adjust font size:

Singapore "welcomes" the agreement reached by Iran and major countries of the world on the Islamic republic's nuclear program, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) said in a statement late on Tuesday.

"We commend the hard work and efforts of all the parties involved," MFA said, adding that the implementation of the agreement will be "especially crucial".

"We urge all parties to fulfil their respective obligations and implement the agreement as soon as possible. This is in the interests of all parties involved and the international community. "

The deal was reached between Iran and six countries -- China, Britain, France, Russia, the United States and Germany, after a 13- year stand-off on Tuesday. Endi
