Slovenia hails nuclear deal with Iran

Xinhua, July 15, 2015 Adjust font size:

The Slovenian Foreign Ministry Tuesday hailed the deal reached between world powers and Iran on limiting Iranian nuclear activity in return for the lifting of international economic sanctions, as "an important contribution to improving the situation in the region."

The ministry congratulated the six world powers and Iran on the important achievement, which it said brings stability to the "region that has been unstable both politically and security-wise."

According to the Foreign Ministry, the agreement represents a foundation for strengthening of bilateral relations between Slovenia and Iran.

Slovenian Press Agency (STA) quoted Slovenian diplomat Klemen Polak, who was a member of the negotiating team, as saying that the negotiators had done a good job, noting it was "a unique opportunity to participate in historic negotiations." Endit
