Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao held talks with South African Vice President Cyril Ramaphosa in Beijing on Tuesday.

Li hopes the two sides will implement the consensus reached by Chinese President Xi Jinping and his South African counterpart Jacob Zuma, to promote the comprehensive strategic partnership.

Li said the two countries have opportunities to have cooperation in industrial capacity, marine economy, energy and finance.

This year marks the 15th anniversary of the founding of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC). The 2015 meeting of the FOCAC will be hosted in South Africa and co-chaired by both countries.

Li said China is willing to work with South Africa to make the FOCAC meeting a promotion to the new type of China-Africa strategic partnership.

Ramaphosa said South Africa is willing to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields with China and get support from China in the process of industrialization.

Prior to the talks at the Great Hall of the People, Li held a red-carpet ceremony to welcome the guests. Endi
