Albanian police destroy thousands of cannabis roots

Albanian police of southern city Vlora have destroyed 2,890 narcotic plants that were found in 12 parcels, as well as arrested three cultivators.
In the Verbas village south to Vlora, 11 parcels with 1,940 narcotic roots were discovered and the citizens, 38-year-old Myslum Gllucaj and 50-years-old Tomorr Malaj were caught in the act.
In the same village police have spotted another parcel with 950 narcotic plants that were found between two dwellings.
For this reason, the 71-year-old Servet Canaj was arrested while the 32-year-old citizen Maksim Canaj has been declared wanted.
Meanwhile, nearly 4,000 cannabis sativa roots planted in 40 parcels were destroyed by the police of Kruja in north of Albania on Sunday.
Police said that the narcotic plants were found during the inspection in Bushnesh village in Kruja district. They burned the plants while arresting two persons, Gezim Myrta and Erjon Myrta, suspected to be the owners of the cannabis. Endit
