Up to 28 people were killed and 20 others wounded on Saturday in clashes and air strikes by Iraqi forces on Islamic State (IS) militants across Iraq, security sources said.

In Iraq's western province of Anbar, security forces and allied militias retook control of the village of Abu Fleis near the town of Habbaniyah, some 80 km west of the Iraqi capital of Baghdad, after heavy clashes with IS militants which killed 14 IS fighters in the battleground, a provincial security source told Xinhua. KABUL -- About 30 Islamic State (IS) affiliate militants, including a senior IS leader, were killed following a U.S.-led drone strike in eastern Afghanistan overnight Friday, said the Afghan intelligence agency on Saturday. (Afghanistan-IS)

N'DJAMENA -- A suicide bomb attack on Saturday killed 16 people and injured 80 others in Chad's capital N'Djamena, national police spokesman Paul Manga said.

Manga said the man dressed as a woman wearing a burqa detonated the explosives when the police tried to arrest him at the southern entrance of the central market in N'Djamena, adding that the suicide bomber is also killed. The spokesman said most of the deceased are female. (Chad-Attack)

VIENNA -- U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said difficult issues on the Iranian nuclear talks still need to be resolved after meeting with Iran's foreign minster on Saturday.

"Still have difficult issues to resolve," Kerry said on his twitter.

As tough issues remain on the negotiation table, the deadline has been extended to next Monday, the third time extension. (Austria-Iran-Nuclear Talks)

BRUSSELS -- After months tough negotiations, eurozone finance ministers will decide whether to formally open negotiations with Greece on a new 53.2 billion euros (about 59 billion U.S. dollars) bailout proposal Saturday afternoon to avert Greece bankruptcy and likely Grexit.

The crucial meeting was widely seen as a "decisive moment" for Greece's fate: either a bailout deal or Greece's exit from the European common currency zone.

The creditors had given a positive assessment which makes it possible that an agreement to aid Greece will be reached in the afternoon meeting of the Eurogroup. (EU-Greece-Bailout) Endi
