Saudi longest-serving foreign minister dies in U.S.

Saudi Arabia mourned on Thursday its former foreign minister Saud Al Faisal who died Thursday in the United States, Al Arabiya news reported.

Born in 1940, he was the longest-serving foreign minister in the world as he took over his post from 1975 to 2015.

He got his bachelor degree in economy from the U.S. in 1963 and was appointed in many posts before his appointment as the foreign minister.

He was member in many Arab and Islamic committees and mastered seven languages, including Arabic, English, French, Italian, Germen, Spanish and Hebrew. Endit
