French stock market index up 0.75 pct on Wednesday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 gained an advance of 0.75 percent to close at 4,639.02 points on Wednesday, up 34.28 points.

Investors feeling confidence about Greece's engagement to propose new detailed plan to get out of crisis, the CAC 40 of Paris slightly rebounded with 34 of the 40 selected companies gaining advance.

The top three gainers on Wednesday were ArcelorMittal, up 3.07 percent, Vivendi, up 2.53 percent, and Alstom, up 2.28 percent.

The three companies whose stocks dropped most on Wednesday were Valeo, down 4.61 percent, Renault, down 4.51 percent, and Peugeot, down 2.93 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 dropped by 2.27 percent to close at 4,604.64 points, down 106.90 points. Endit
