At least 20 people were killed and 20 others injured when two passenger vans collided near Pakistan's capital Islamabad on Wednesday afternoon, local media reported.

Abb Takk TV reported that the two vans carrying 60 people had a head-on collision at Tarnol Road area located at the outskirts of Rawalpindi city, twin city of Islamabad.

Police said tyre of one of the vans burst and it slipped into the lane from where the other van was coming from the opposite direction.
