Lu Ying claimed her second swimming gold medal and the third one for China by winning the women's 100m butterfly at the 2015 Gwangju Summer University Games here on Wednesday.
"I trained really hard in Australia early this year. Before coming to Gwangju, I also had a training course in Austria in Europe for almost two weeks. I am satisfied with the results," said Lu, the silver medalist in London Olympics 2012.
Lu touched first in 57.83 seconds to win the gold, followed by Diliddo Elena of Italy in 58.29. Listopadova Katarina of Slovakia snatched the bronze in 58.37.
Fukudome Keiko and Aoki Reona celebrated a one-two finish in the women's 200m breaststroke for Japan, and the bronze medal went to Moravcikova Mart of Czech Republic.
De Souza Martines claimed Brazil's first swimming gold at this Universiade after winning the men's 100m freestyle in 48.98, beating Conger John Peet of United States to the second place in 49.02. Belotti Marco of Italy settled for a bronze in 49.43.
Lu Ying set a Universiade record in women's 50 butterfly to win China's first swimming gold at this Universiade last Sunday.
Zhang Sishi grabbed the second swimming gold for China by winning the women's 200m individual medley on Tuesday. Endi
