Tokyo stocks open lower in early trading amid Greece concerns

Tokyo stocks opened lower in early trading Wednesday amid dented investor sentiment as a deal on Greece's debt crisis looked further away.

At 9:15 a.m., the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average was down 153. 05 points, or 0.75 percent, from Tuesday to 20,223.54. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange lost 11.80 points, or 0.72 percent, at 1,625.43.

Decliners were led by nonferrous metals, financing business and wholesalers. Endi
