Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi Tuesday said importance of Hindi language was set to increase with India marching rapidly towards economic prosperity, according to local media reports.

The Press Trust of India quoted Modi as saying when addressing Indologists in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, that "those whose economy is strong, wings of their language grow faster as people want to learn their language".

Modi also released the first Uzbek-Hindi dictionary in Uzbekistan Tuesday, where he was on a visit, said the report. Endi
