Tokyo stocks rebound 1.36 percent in morning session

Tokyo stocks rebounded 1.36 percent in the morning session of Tuesday as investors took the opportunity for bargain-hunting following Monday's steep declines.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average jumped 272.67 points, or 1. 36 percent, from Monday to end the morning session at 20,384.79. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange gained 20.90 points, or 1.29 percent, at 1,641.26.

All industry categories gained ground except for mining, with utilities, pulp and paper, and insurance issues leading gainers. Endi
