Australian dollar slightly up

The Australian dollar climbed in overnight trade on Tuesday.

It lifted from 74.78 U.S. cents on Monday to 75 U.S. cents on Tuesday.

That is the Reserve Bank of Australia's target figure as part of its management of the economy, but the dollar, until now, has stubbornly remained above that.

But Greece's debt default and "no" result in its referendum saw the dollar drop.

Weakness on commodity markets with iron ore sinking 4 percent also had an impact. Endi
