Indian, Pakistani PMs to meet in Russia: report

Xinhua, July 6, 2015 Adjust font size:

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif will meet on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit in Russia on July 10, said local media Monday.

The Press Trust of India quoted sources as saying the two leaders will meet on the sidelines of the summit in Ufa, Russia.

Modi is embarking on a six-nation visit Monday and he will be in Russia to attend SCO as well as the BRICS Summit.

Modi and Sharif last met in Kathmandu in November at the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Summit but they did not hold any bilateral meeting.

Indian and Pakistani officials exchanged sharp comments after Modi's critical remarks about Pakistan during his Bangladesh visit last month and in the wake of India's military action against Naga rebels in Myanmar. Endi
