Lightening strikes killed two people and injured two others in Wales on Sunday, local authorizes confirmed.

After days of high temperature in parts of Britain, lightning strikes hit some countries of Britain on Saturday and Sunday.

According to local media reports, two men struck by lightening were sent to Prince Charles Hospital in Merthyr Tydfil by helicopter, one of them was in his 50s.

The accident happened at about midday around Pen y Fan mountain in Powys, mid-Wales. Both of them suffered life-threatening injuries when airlifted to hospital.

Another two people are still being treated after a separate lightening strike, local media said.

"As a result of two separate lightning strikes today in the Brecon Beacons, we can confirm that two people have died, another has been transferred to Morriston Hospital because of burns, and one other person continues to receive treatment at Prince Charles hospital," Prince Charles Hospital said in a statement.
