India to launch 5 British satellites

Xinhua, July 4, 2015 Adjust font size:

India will launch five British satellites from its southern spaceport of Sriharikota on July 10, the state-owned space agency said Saturday.

"The five satellites include three DMC optical earth observation satellites, which will be put into a sun synchronous orbit. The satellites will be launched into space on India's indigenous Polar Space Launch Vehicle," the Indian Space Research Organization said.

The total weight of the five satellites would be around 1,500 kg.

The countdown for the launch will begin on July 8, the space agency said. Endi
