Xinhua, July 1, 2015 Adjust font size:

Ukrainian soccer club Shakhtar Donetsk on Wednesday confirmed that they have finalized a transfer deal, which will see Douglas Costa, the Brazil midfielder, join German soccer club Bayern Munich on a five-year contract.

"Shakhtar appreciate Douglas for the time he spent in the team and wish him all the best in the new club," Shakhtar's press office said in a statement on its website.

According to the statement, Bayern paid Shakhtar a total of 30 million euros (about 33.35 million U.S. dollars) for the transfer of the 24-year-old Brazil national.

Costa had been playing for the Ukrainian club since January 2010, scoring 38 goals in 203 appearances. Endite
