S. Korea's exports fall 1.8 percent in June

South Korea's exports fell 1.8 percent in June from a year earlier, keeping a downward trend for six straight months, a government report showed Wednesday.

Exports, which account for about half of the economy, was 46.95 billion U.S. dollars in June, down 1.8 percent from a year earlier, according to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.

Imports tumbled 13.6 percent from a year earlier to 36.7 billion U.S. dollars in June, sending the trade surplus to 10.25 billion U.S. dollars. Endi
