The 22-year-old striker moved from Dutch outfit Twente Enschede to Frankfurt until 2018, the "Eagles" announced via the club's official homepage on Tuesday.

Castaignos inked a three-year deal, which keeps him with the Bundesliga side until June 2019.

"With Luc Castaignos we signed a versatile player for our offence. Despite several lucrative offers Luc decided to take the next step at Eintracht," Frankfurt's sporting director Bruno Huebner said.

The Dutch striker played since 2012 for Twente Enschede to provide 37 goals in 97 appearances.

"For me the Bundesliga is one for Europe's best league. I am glad that I can play at this high level here. I saw the season's final against Leverkusen and I was immediately impressed with the atmosphere and the supporters in the stadium," the new arrival said.

Frankfurt face Wolfsburg at their season opener for the 2015-2016 campaign on August 15. Endi
