A police was killed and 11 others were injured as a roadside bomb struck a police van in Afghanistan's Saripul province on Tuesday, provincial police chief Mohammad Asif Jabarkhil said. "A mine planted by militants on a road in Sayad district struck a police vehicle, killing police commander Tofan on the spot and injuring 11 others of his bodyguards," Jabarkhil told Xinhua.
