NATO has concluded exercise TRIDENT JOUST 15 in Cincu, Romania, NATO'S Allied Command Operations said Monday.

Allied Joint Force Command Naples, the NATO Response Force command and control headquarters participated in the exercise which tested operational capability of the standby NATO Response Force (NRF) from June 17.

The main objective was to conduct a change of control of the headquarters while conducting a high intensity training exercise using a realistic scenario.

Located in both Romania and Bulgaria, TRIDENT JOUST 15 involved 25 NATO nations and more than 1,000 personnel.

It marked the first time a Joint Force Command headquarters can be deployed to Romania.

"TRIDENT JOUST demonstrated that NATO can deliver command and control anytime, anywhere," said Canadian Army Lieutenant General D. Michael Day, Deputy Commander of JFC Naples, as well as the overall exercise commander.

TRIDENT JOUST 15 supported the Readiness Action Plan as was envisioned during the NATO Wales Summit in September of 2014. Endit
