Retail sales in Albania rise by 4.7 pct

The latest data of Albanian National Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) published on Sunday showed that in the first quarter of 2015 retail sales in Albania increased by 4.7 percent compared with the same period a year ago.

According to INSTAT, Albanians have spent more on food, clothing and footwear, pharmaceutical products, school items, while besides fuels, they spend less on household appliances.

Recent statistics gave positive signals for a consumer boom in Albania, which would set in motion the engines of the economy. Endit
