EU fully lifts ban on Philippine carriers

Xinhua, June 25, 2015 Adjust font size:

All certified Philippine air carriers are now allowed to mount flights to Europe after Manila's compliance with the aviation security measures, officials said Thursday.

Lubomir Frebort, Charges d'Affaires, European Union Delegation to the Philippines, and Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines Director General William Hotchkiss III made the announcement in a joint press conference in Pasay City, Metro Manila.

EU banned Philippine carriers from flying on its member states' airspace in 2009 due to safety issues. But since then, the Philippine government made corrective measures. Endi
