Singapore stocks close 0.04 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished slightly lower on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 1.46 points, or 0.04 percent, to close at 3,349.87.

A total of 1.26 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 940.2 million Singapore dollars (700.2 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 251 to 150, while 558 others finished unchanged.

The STI index gained 11.55 points, or 0.35 percent, to close at 3,351.33 on Wednesday. Endi
