Sri Lanka nabs 8 Indians for smuggling gold

Sri Lanka arrested eight Indian Nationals on Thursday for smuggling gold weighing 903 grams.

The customs department said that it arrested nine people including eight Indian Nationals at the Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA).

According to a customs department spokesman Leslie Gamini, seven of the eight Indians with gold hidden in their rectums were about to board a flight to Chennai, India.
