Xinhua, June 25, 2015 Adjust font size:

China will hold the sixth Xiangshan Forum, a platform for discussing security cooperation in the Asia Pacific region, from Oct. 16 to 18 in Beijing, a spokesperson for the country's Defense Ministry announced on Thursday.

Yang Yujun said that the forum will focus on regional security trends, maritime security and anti-terrorism.

Defense ministry and armed forces delegations, representatives from international organizations, as well as experts and academics from around the world will be invited to attend.

"We hope this forum can be conducive to boosting mutual trust, accumulating consensus, promoting regional security cooperation, and jointly safeguarding regional peace and security," Yang said. Endi
