CAF appoint referees for Nigeria, Congo Olympic qualifiers

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Kenyan referee Anthony Ogwayo for the first leg of the Nigeria/Congo fixture in the African U-23 Championship qualifiers that also serve as Olympic qualifiers.

The Kenyan would be assisted by his compatriots Gilbert Cheruiyot, Joshua Achila and Andrew Otieno.

Konate Aboubakar from Cameroon will be the match commissioner, CAF said in a statement.

The statement added that Egyptian Mohamed Marouf would be the referee for the return leg match slated for Aug. 2 in Pointe Noire, Congo. Endi
