Nigeria FA probes coach Keshi over link with Cote d'Ivoire

Xinhua, June 24, 2015 Adjust font size:

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has summoned Super Eagles head coach Stephen Keshi to appear before its disciplinary committee over his inclusion in a job shortlist in Cote d'Ivoire.

The coach is expected to explain circumstances surrounding his inclusion in a job shortlist in Cote d'Ivoire.

Cote d'Ivoire's football federation (FIF) had announced on Friday it received 59 applications, including that of Keshi, in a move to get a replacement for Frenchman Herve Renard.

However, Keshi who signed a fresh two-year deal with the Nigerian FA in April, told reporters that he knew nothing about the application.

The coach said his appearance before the NFF Disciplinary Committee would not deter him from doing his job.

The coach said it was normal for anybody to appear before such a committee to clarify issues of such magnitude. Endi
