French stock market index up 1.18 pct on Tuesday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 closed with an advance of 1.18 percent at 5,057.68 points on Tuesday, up 59.07 points.

With the decline of euros against dollars and a more and more possible solution between Greece and its creditors, the CAC 40 closed higher on Tuesday with 37 of the 40 selected gaining advance.

The top three gainers on Tuesday were Lafarge, up 2.95 percent, Peugeot, up 2.49 percent, and Airbus Group, up 2.23 percent.

The three companies whose stocks dropped most on Tuesday was Alstom, down 0.74 percent, Bouygues, down 0.13 percent, and Accor, down 0.03 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 closed with an advance of 3.81 percent at 4,998.61 points, up 183.24 points. Endit
