Singapore stocks close 0.43 pct higher

Singapore stocks finished higher on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 14.17 points, or 0.43 percent, to close at 3,315.13.

A total of 1.27 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 01 billion Singapore dollars (754.5 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 226 to 198, while 537 others finished unchanged.

The STI index gained 0.54 points, or 0.02 percent, to close at 3,300.96 on Friday. Endi
