Phelps wants to win

Xinhua, June 19, 2015 Adjust font size:

Swimming superstar Michael Phelps desires to win at the Santa Clara Pro Swim as he said on Thursday that he is "sick and tired of just getting whupped".

The Olympic and world champion finished outside the top two in all of his events at his last outing in May, something that hadn't happened to him since he competed at the 2000 Sydney Olympics at an age of 15.

Phelps will take part in five events, and the 200m individual medley, 200m backstroke and 100m free are all set on Sunday.

The 29-year-old will miss the World Championships in Kazan this August as a part of the sanction for his drunk-driving incident. Endi
