France to help Albanian institutions fight corruption

The French government will provide support to Albanian institutions that fight corruption and prevent money laundering, ambassador of France to Tirana Bernard Fitoussi said here on Thursday.

Albanian director general of the general directorate for prevention of money laundering, Genti Gazheli met with the Fitoussi and discussed further support of the French government to Albanian institutions on the fight against money laundering and corruption.

Fitoussi stressed that Albania's integration includes some important priorities, one of which is the efficiency of the fight against corruption and the overall fight for the prevention of money laundering.

On his part, Gazheli expressed appreciation for the comprehensive and ongoing support of EU institutions and especially France, in increasing the capacities of Albanian institutions against corruption. Endit
