Urgent: Nasdaq ends at record high on Yellen's comments

U.S. stocks surged on Thursday, with the Nasdaq Composite Index surpassing its dotcom bubble peak set in March 2000, as investors took Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen's remarks as a dovish tone.

Both the Dow and the S&P 500 jumped 1.0 percent, while the Nasdaq leapt 1.3 percent. Endite
