Brazil gets prefect pass in group after defeating Costa Rica 1-0

Brazil edged Costa Rica 1-0 here at FIFA Women's World Cup 2015 on Wednesday. The team who had snatched three victories matched to the knockout stage proudly and became the Cup's favorites.

Having already secured first place in Group E, Brazil rested several key players including the legendary Marta in the match.

After wasting countless chances, Raquel Fernandes contributed the only goal for Brazil in the 83rd minute. Receiving the accurate long pass from midfielder Andressa, her shot found the right bottom of the opponent's net.

Marta will lead the team to play against Australia in round of 16 on June 21. They may encounter defending champions Japan in quarterfinals. Endi
