Australian dollar slightly higher on Wednesday

Xinhua, June 17, 2015 Adjust font size:

The Australian dollar was trading slightly higher in overnight trading on Wednesday.

It was trading at 77.52 U.S. cents, up from 77.46 U.S. cents on Tuesday.

The currency ebbed before establishing equilibrium, affected by downbeat housing figures in the United States.

The release on Tuesday of minutes and data from Australia's central Reserve Bank's most recent meeting saying interest rates could come down further also played a factor in the currency's movement. Endi
