LME base metals close lower on Tuesday

The base metal prices on the London Metal Exchange (LME) closed lower on Tuesday, over concerns about the Greek debt crisis.

Meanwhile, Union No.1 at Chile's Collahuasi copper mine said its workers started a 24-hour strike Monday morning.

The three-month unofficial copper price dropped 54 U.S. dollars, or 0.93 percent, to 5,765 U.S. dollars per tonne.

The three-month unofficial aluminium price lost 0.5 U.S. dollars, or 0.03 percent, to 1,706 U.S. dollars a tonne.

The three-month unofficial lead price lost 12 U.S. dollars, or 0.66 percent, to 1,808 U.S. dollars a tonne.

Besides, the three-month unofficial zinc price lost 17 U.S. dollars, or 0.80 percent, to 2,099 U.S. dollars a tonne.

The three-month unofficial nickel price lost 195 U.S. dollars, or 1.51 percent, to 12,715 U.S. dollars a tonne.

The three-month unofficial tin price lost 75 U.S. dollars, or 0.51 percent, to 14,575 U.S. dollars a tonne. Endit
