Princess Madeleine of Sweden gives birth to baby boy

Xinhua, June 16, 2015 Adjust font size:

Sweden's Princess Madeleine has given birth to her second child, just two days after attending her brother Prince Carl Philip's wedding.

Princess Madeleine gave birth to a boy Monday afternoon at Stockholm's Danderyd Hospital.

The boy weighs 3,080 grams, is 49 centimeters tall and has blondish hair.

"He is of normal height and weight... There are speculations that he has his father's chin but it is hard to judge newborns' looks. One will have to wait a day or two," chief midwife Anna Stahl told local newspaper Aftonbladet.

Princess Madeleine's and her husband Chris O'Neill's first child, Princess Leonore, was born on Feb. 20, 2014.

The newborn prince will be number six in the Swedish royals' succession order. Endit
