London's tech sector employs over 200,000 people

As more international tech investment projects located in London since 2005, the city' s tech sector has seen its employee number grow to more than 200,000 people, according to figures released at the London Technology Week, which was launched on Monday.

New research shows London is forecast to boost its economy by 18 billion pounds (around 28.1 billion U.S. dollars) in 2015, according to a press release from London & Partners, the official promotional company for the UK capital.

The figures produced by Oxford Economics show that the number of companies in London's digital technology sector has grown by 46 per cent since the launch of the Tech City program. Endit
