Xinhua, June 15, 2015 Adjust font size:

A Taliban militant was arrested while planting a mine on a road in the northern Kunduz province on Monday, police spokesman in the province Sayed Sarwar Hussaini said.

"A terrorist named Shahzada and worked for the Taliban outfit was captured while planting a mine on a road in Kunduz city to target counter-terrorism police chief in the province," Hussaini told reporters.

The captured insurgent during an investigation has confessed to involvement in orchestrating roadside bombings and targeting security officials, the police spokesman said.

Taliban militants who are largely relying on suicide and roadside bombings are yet to make comment. Endi
