Chinese shares close lower Monday

Chinese shares closed lower on Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 2 percent to finish at 5,062.99 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index lost 2.19 percent to close at 17,702.55 points.

The ChiNext Index, tracking China's Nasdaq-style board of growth enterprises, slumped by 5.22 percent to end at 3,696.03 points. Endi
