1st LD: 3 missing after residential building collapses in SW China

Three people are missing after a residential building collapsed in Zunyi, southwest China's Guizhou Province, early Sunday morning, local authorities confirmed.

The old, nine-storey building on Yan'an Road in the city's Honghuagang District collapsed at 5:58 a.m..

According to the local publicity department, 19 residents from the building were affected by the collapse. Sixteen of them are safe, while the other three remain missing.

Two were slightly injured and sent to the hospital.

Rescue work is underway. The cause of the accident is under investigation. Endi
