Defending champion the United States will play Australia in the final of the FINA Women's Water Polo World League Super Final 2015 after their respective semifinal victories here on Saturday.

The United States performed solid in the semifinal against the Netherlands, winning 8-5 (2-1, 3-1, 3-0, 0-3) while Australia edged China 5-3 (3-1, 1-0, 1-1, 0-1).

"It is funny that we play with the Netherlands for four times during the last two weeks. We are getting familiar and tired of each other. It is good that we win the game and play the defensive way we planned. We look forward to play tomorrow and see whether we can defend the title," said Adam Krikorian, US head coach.

In the 5th-8th playoffs, Canada beat Brazil 8-6 (3-1, 1-3, 4-1, 0-1), Russia edged Italy in the penalty shoot-out 13-11 (2-1, 2-1, 1-4, 4-3, penalty goals 4-2).

US will play Australia in the final, China face the Netherlands in the bronze medal match, Canada meet Russia in the match of 5th place and Italy compete with Brazil for the 7th place on Sunday. Endi
