51st Int'l Paris Air and Space Show to kick off on June 15

The 51st International Paris Air and Space Show is about to open on June 15 at le Bourget Airport in northern Paris to showcase the cutting-edge technology of today and the future of the air and space industry.

This year's air show is divided into two parts. First, the trade days from 15 to 18 June are for trade visitors only. And from 19 to 25 June will be public days for general visitors.

According to the organizers, about 2,260 exhibitors from 47 countries will bring some 120 civil and military aircraft to this year's air show.

As usual, the International Paris Air and Space show is a main battle field for the world's leading civil aircraft manufacturers Boeing and Airbus. Some major aircraft sales contracts are expected to be announced by them during the show.

Airbus will show the new A350 XWB, which uses the latest technologies which can fly further with heavier loads and with consumption of less fuel.

As for Boeing, some 777-200L and its lastest 777X are expected to receive orders, according to some professionals.

BOMBARDIER will be showing its new CS300.

Military aircraft plays an important role in every year's show. The Rafale will be on the show, while Antonov will also be there with its new AN178.

The JF-17 from Pakistani Air Forces, developed jointly by the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex and the Chengdu Aircraft Corporation of China, will definitely be displayed at the show.

But for the fans, the most anticipated part of the air show is the Patrouille de France Acrobatic Team' special appearance.

In 2013, the 50th International Paris Air and Space show attracted 139,000 trade visitors and 176,000 general public visitors from all over the world.

Founded in 1909, the International Paris Air and Space Show is the biggest show of its kind dedicated to the aerospace industry worldwide. It is currently held every odd year at Le Bourget Airport in northern Paris, France.

The 51st International Paris Air show runs from 15 to 21 June, and the 52nd edition is scheduled for 19 to 25 June, 2017. Endit
