Xinhua, June 12, 2015 Adjust font size:

At least 25 passengers were killed and several others sustained burn injuries after a high- voltage power line fell on a bus in the northern Indian state of Rajasthan Friday, a senior police official said.

"The mishap happened in the state's Tonk district when some 50 people were going to a marriage function. The power wire suddenly snapped and fell on the bus," he said on condition of anonymity.

While 25 people were charred to death, those injured have been rushed to a nearby hospital by local residents, the official said.

A probe has been launched into the incident. Endi
