Canada ties with New Zealand 0-0

Canada was held to a 0-0 draw with New Zealand in a women's World Cup Group A match on Thursday.

The Canadians, who had earned an opening 1-0 victory over China, led the group standings with four points from one win and one draw.

In Thursday's other match of Group A, China beat the Netherlands thanks to a late goal from Wang Lisi.

After two rounds of the round robin play, China and the Netherlands shared the second position in the group while New Zealand were at the bottom with one point.

Canada will take on the Netherlands on Monday with China to face New Zealand in the last round group clashes. Endi
