Dollar changes hands at mid-123 yen level in early Tokyo deals

The U.S. dollar changed hands in the mid-123 yen zone early Friday in Tokyo.

At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 123.58-59 compared with 123. 39-49 yen in New York and 123.53-55 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Thursday.

The euro fetched 1.1246-1246 dollars and 138.97-99 yen against 1.1254-1264 dollars and 138.95-139.05 yen in New York and 1.1261- 1264 dollars and 139.12-16 yen in Tokyo late Thursday afternoon. Endi
