French stock market index up 1.75 pct on Wednesday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 closed with an advance of 1.75 percent at 4,934.91 points on Wednesday, up 84.69 points.

With oil price rebounding and the possible meeting between German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Francois Hollande and Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, the CAC 40 closed higher on Wednesday with 38 of the 40 selected companies gaining advance.

The three companies that gained most on Wednesday were Solvay, up 5.32 percent, Kering, up 4.19 percent, and LVMH, up 4.12 percent.

Only Schneider Electric and Capgemini dropped on Wednesday, respectively by 0.09 percent and 0.05 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 closed with a decrease of 0.15 percent at 4,850.22 points, down 7.44 points. Endit
